Guide to Beginning Runecrafting (posted by _Skai_ [Link])

This is a simple and concise explanation on how to begin your Runecrafting manufacturing skill.

These are the steps, with pictures:

1.) Do a Bounty Hunter I quest (the first in a chain) for the day, and get the reward (Note: has a 2 hour time limit).


2.) Go to the NPC that the Divine Order of the _______ says. They are located near General Summer in the Southwest part of Archosaur, where the forges are, or South Archosaur, just west of the Banker. They are also located in Dreamweaver at the Southeast part of the map, just north of Raging Tides.


3.) Talk to the NPC, and click on Divine Contract. Depending on the Divine Order of the _______ that you have, you'll be able to take 2-5 quests a day.

Divine Order of the Void - Levels 81+ -- 5 quests
Divine Order of the Shadow - Levels 51-80 -- 3 quests
Divine Order of the Light - Levels 20-50 -- 2 quests

These quests are random, and they generally involve killing 15 mobs. But do note: Once in a while you will get a blue quest, which usually involves killing 5-10 mobs in an instance. (For me I have to kill mobs in the 89/99 instances). These blue quests will give you a Divine Honor of the Shadow. And then once in long time, you might get a harder purple quest that involves killing a strong mob/mini-boss, and will reward you the Divine Honor of the Void. If you have a Divine Honor of Light/Shadow, you may trade those for Divine Seals of Light/Shadow, which allows you to refresh the quest list (one refresh per seal). This may be done up to 4 times a day.


4.) Once you have two Divine Honors of Shadow, talk to the Divine Emissary of the Shadow. Click on Divine Goods, and click on the Rune tab. and manufacture a Runecrafting skill 1 skillbook.


5.) Once you are level 60, talk to any elder located in any main city, choose 'Learn crafting skill', and level up Runecrafting.




Congratulations, you've started learning Runecrafting! Now get out there and level it up! You may start crafting at the Divine Emissary of Light. You may check here for all of the Runecrafting combinations, effects, and other information!


Once you've reached 100% proficiency in the level of Runecrafting you're in, you have to trade in more Divine Honors for higher level books to level up. The higher level Runecrafting skill books require Divine Honors of Void. You can get these by trading in certain amounts of Divine Honors of Shadow.

Every level of Runecrafting can be learned every +10 levels, starting at level 60. So that means:

Level I Runecrafting requires you to be level 60.
Level II Runecrafting requires you to be level 70.
Level III Runecrafting requires you to be level 80.
Level IV Runecrafting requires you to be level 90.
Level V Runecrafting requires you to be level 99.
Level VI Runecrafting requires you to be level 100.*
Level VII Runecrafting requires you to be level 101.*
*Note: These are assumptions since this manufacturing skill behaves differently from the others in terms of level requirements.

Apothecary

Apothecary skill is required to manufacture remedy powders.

Level 1

Can be learned at player level 5 after completing the "Path to Apothecary" quest:

1. System message appears upon reaching player level 5 to talk to the Elder (depends on the race)
2. Talk to the Elder of your race
3. Talk to the Apothecary (depends on the race)
4. Collect 5 Salvia Roots
5. Return to the Apothecary with 5 Salvia Roots to get the "Basic Apothecary" skill
6. Talk to the Elder to "Learn Manufacturking Skill" for free (no coin required)

Level 2

1. Manufacture level 1 powders until the manufacturing skill bar reaches 100%
2. Talk to any Elder to "Learn Manufacturing Skill"
3. Pay the required coins and spirit to learn level 2 Apothecary

Level 3

1. Manufacture level 2 powders until the manufacturing skill bar reaches 100%
2. Talk to any Elder to "Learn Manufacturing Skill"
3. Pay the required coins and spirit to learn level 3 Apothecary

Level 4

Can be learned at player level 50

1. Upon reaching player level 50 with level 3 Apothecary skill, a system message appears to talk to the Elder of Archosaur (571 648)
2. Talk to the Elder of Archosaur (571 648)
3. Talk to Herb Gardener aka Huajen (618 389) @ Dreamweaver Outskirts (watchout for high level mobs near him)
4. Buy the Level 4 Apothecary Mastery book from him for 52,500 coins
5. If necessary, manufacture level 3 powders until the manufacturing skill bar reaches 100%
6. Talk to any Elder to "Learn Manufacturing Skill"
7. Pay the required coins and spirit to learn level 4 Apothecary

Level 5

1. Manufacture level 4 powders until the manufacturing skill bar reaches 100%
2. Talk to any Elder to "Learn Manufacturing Skill"
3. Pay the required coins and spirit to learn level 5 Apothecary

Level 6

Can be learned at player level 80

1. Upon reaching player level 80 with level 5 Craftsman skill, a system message appears to talk to the Elder of Archosaur (571 648)
2. Talk to the Elder of Archosaur (571 648)
3. Talk to Herb Gardener aka Huajen (618 389) @ Dreamweaver Outskirts (watchout for high level mobs near him)
4. Buy the Advanced Apothecary skill book from him for 157,500 coins
5. If necessary, manufacture level 5 powders until the manufacturing skill bar reaches 100%
6. Talk to any Elder to "Learn Manufacturing Skill"
7. Pay the required coins and spirit to learn level 6 Apothecary

Level 7

1. Manufacture level 6 powders until the manufacturing skill bar reaches 100%
2. Talk to any Elder to "Learn Manufacturing Skill"
3. Pay the required coins and spirit to learn level 7 Apothecary

Level 8

Can be learned at player level 99

Craftsman

Craftsman skill is required to manufacture and decompose ornaments.

Level 1

Can be learned at player level 5 after completing the "Path to Craftsman" quest:

1. System message appears upon reaching player level 5 to talk to the Elder (depends on the race)
2. Talk to the Elder of your race
3. Talk to the Craftsman (depends on the race)
4. Collect 2 Sandstones
5. Return to the Craftsman with 2 Sandstones to get the "Basic Craftsman" skill
6. Talk to the Elder to "Learn Manufacturking Skill" for free (no coin required)

Level 2

1. Manufacture 10 level 1 ornaments until the manufacturing skill bar reaches 100%
2. Talk to any Elder to "Learn Manufacturing Skill"
3. Pay the required coins and spirit to learn level 2 Craftsman

Level 3

1. Manufacture 10 level 2 ornaments until the manufacturing skill bar reaches 100%
2. Talk to any Elder to "Learn Manufacturing Skill"
3. Pay the required coins and spirit to learn level 3 Craftsman

Level 4

Can be learned at player level 50

4. Manufacture the following 2 stars ornaments:
   • Dragon Scale Necklace = Gravel (2), Yellow Jade (1), Amulet Wood (2)
   • Wavewatcher Pendant = Rough Fur (6), Yellow Jade (1), Amulet Wood (2)
   • Ring of Magical Skies = Gravel (3), Yellow Jade (1), Amulet Wood (2)
5. Return to the Craftsman (556 622) with the above ornaments and 10 rubstone powders to obtain the Apprentice Craftsman skill book
6. If necessary, manufacture level 3 armors until the manufacturing skill bar reaches 100%
7. Talk to any Elder to "Learn Manufacturing Skill"
8. Pay the required coins and spirit to learn level 4 Craftsman

Amulet Wood = Rough Lumber (2), Concentrated Glue (2), Purified Oil (2)

Level 5

1. Manufacture level 4 ornaments until the manufacturing skill bar reaches 100%
2. Talk to any Elder to "Learn Manufacturing Skill"
3. Pay the required coins and spirit to learn level 5 Craftsman

Level 6

Can be learned at player level 80

1. Upon reaching player level 80 with level 5 Craftsman skill, a system message appears to talk to the Elder of Archosaur (571 648)
2. Talk to the Elder of Archosaur (571 648)
3. Talk to the Craftsman Chu (238 779) @ Sirry Wine Village
4. Manufacture the following 2 stars ornaments:
   • Radiant Collar = Reinforced Leather (5), Broken Cyand Jade (1), Buddha Wood (2)
   • Dawdler's Belt = Reinforced Leather (5), Broken Cyan Jade (1), Buddha Wood (2)
   • Sinking Star Ring = Charcoal (3), Broken Cyan Jade (1), Buddha Wood (2)
5. Return to the Craftsman Chu (238 779) @ Sirry Wine Village with the above armors to continue with the quest
6. Manufacture the following 2 stars ornaments:
   • Ring of the Open Sky = Corundum (3), Broken Cyan Jade (1), Buddha Wood(2)
   • Artist's Pendant = Corundum (2), Broken Cyan Jade (1), Buddha Wood(2)
7. Talk to the Good Old Chang (129 757) with the above ornaments to obtain the Intermediate Craftsman skill book
8. If necessary, manufacture level 5 ornaments until the manufacturing skill bar reaches 100%
9. Talk to the Elder to "Learn Manufacturing Skill"
10. Pay the required coins and spirit to learn level 6 Craftsman

Buddha Wood = High-Grade Lumber (2), Colored Glue (2), Glaze (2)

Level 7

1. Manufacture 20 level 6 ornaments until the manufacturing skill bar reaches 100%
2. Talk to any Elder to "Learn Manufacturing Skill"
3. Pay the required coins and spirit to learn level 7 Craftsman

Level 8

Can be learned at player level 99

Tailoring

Tailor skill is required to manufacture and decompose armors.

Level 1

Can be learned at player level 5 after completing the "Path to Tailor" quest:

1. System message appears upon reaching player level 5 to talk to the Elder (depends on the race)
2. Talk to the Elder of your race
3. Talk to the Tailor (depends on the race)
4. Collect 2 Logs
5. Return to the Tailor with 2 Logs to get the "Basic Tailor" skill
6. Talk to the Elder to "Learn Manufacturking Skill" for free (no coin required)

Level 2

1. Manufacture 10 level 1 armors until the manufacturing skill bar reaches 100%
2. Talk to any Elder to "Learn Manufacturing Skill"
3. Pay the required coins and spirit to learn level 2 Tailor

Level 3

1. Manufacture 10 level 2 armors until the manufacturing skill bar reaches 100%
2. Talk to any Elder to "Learn Manufacturing Skill"
3. Pay the required coins and spirit to learn level 3 Tailor

Level 4

Can be learned at player level 50

1. Upon reaching player level 50 with level 3 Tailor skill, a system message appears to talk to the Elder of Archosaur (571 648)
2. Talk to the Elder of Archosaur (571 648)
3. Talk to Tailor (549 628)
4. Manufacture the following 2 stars armors:
   • Stoneblood Bazubands = High-Carbon Steel (2), Yellow Jade (1), Hard Rim Muslin (2)
   • Glowing Cuisses = Rough Fur (5), Yellow Jade (1), Hard Rim Muslin (2)
   • Wraith Robe = Rough Fur (5), Yellow Jade (1), Hard Rim Muslin (2)
5. Return to the Tailor (549 628) with the above armors and 10 fine lumbers to obtain the Apprentice Tailor skill book
6. If necessary, manufacture level 3 armors until the manufacturing skill bar reaches 100%
7. Talk to any Elder to "Learn Manufacturing Skill"
8. Pay the required coins and spirit to learn level 4 Tailor

Hard Rim Muslin = Silk Thread (2), Coal (2), Purified Oil (2)

Level 5

1. Manufacture level 4 armors until the manufacturing skill bar reaches 100%
2. Talk to any Elder to "Learn Manufacturing Skill"
3. Pay the required coins and spirit to learn level 5 Tailor

Level 6

Can be learned at player level 80

1. Upon reaching player level 80 with level 5 Tailor skill, a system message appears to talk to the Elder of Archosaur (571 648)

3. Talk to the Tailor Wen (238 781) @ Sirry Wine Village
4. Manufacture the following 2 stars armors:

8. If necessary, manufacture level 5 weapons until the manufacturing skill bar reaches 100%
9. Talk to the Elder to "Learn Manufacturing Skill"
10. Pay the required coins and spirit to learn level 6 Blacksmith

Level 7

1. Manufacture 20 level 6 weapons until the manufacturing skill bar reaches 100%
2. Talk to any Elder to "Learn Manufacturing Skill"

....That's one thing that will make you material farming session A LOT EASIER!

The interactive map is really easy to use, you will probably get use to it very quickly! :)
For basically anything you need to find in the World or PWI, Herbs, Materials, Monsters... you name it!

Note: the map includes only the lands from before Raging Tide Expansion.
